While originally invited to participate, FIFA deemed wearing a hijab to be in breach of their rules. For there part, Iran’s National Olympic Committee refused to let them play without a hijab, and so, all their training will be for naught.

After 2 hours of peaceful march, about 100 violent black-blocs anarchists left the march and started smashing windows and police cars. After about a hour and a half, police began trapping protesters in Queen's Park, as the anarchists changed clothes and vanished, leaving peaceful protesters against police charge and pepper sprays bullets.
